Letter From Recruitment Chair

Aloha! Welcome to the website for the Iota Alpha chapter of Phi Mu. First off we would like to welcome you to the ohana here at University of Hawaii at Manoa. We hope you are contemplating going through Recruitment and exploring the benefits of joining Greek life here in Hawaii. Joining the Greek system allows you to make close friendships and connections with students from all over the country.

The young women of the Iota Alpha chapter come from very diverse backgrounds and are all very unique individuals. The members of our chapter are active participants in all aspects of campus life. We have women who participate in clubs such as ASUH, Pre-Medical Association, Golden Key Association, as well as a variety of off-campus organizations. Along with our chapter’s involvement on campus, we also dedicate much of our time to community service and philanthropy. Our chapter’s principal philanthropic cause is Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and we locally support Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.

Phi Mu offers young women at the University of Hawaii a place to grow and flourish. We emphasize our values of Love, Honor, and Truth. Our chapter builds up young women into the strong women they were meant to be by supporting their growth and maturation throughout not only their college careers, but also their entire lives. Joining a sorority offers you a family that will always be there for you in every time of need.
